Based in Greensboro, NC we are engaged in construction and development projects spanning the state of North Carolina, with a notable presence in Asheville. In 2023 we kicked off a new 400-unit project in Fayetteville and have future projects planned in other dynamic markets in the Carolinas including Wilmington and Charlotte.

BRIAN WISE
OWNER & LEAD DEVELOPER
Brian started in commercial real estate development in 2011 and before that worked as a corporate attorney in Raleigh. In 2018 he founded Fall Line Development which has successfully developed and planned projects in Asheville, Fayetteville, Greensboro and Charlotte. In his decade plus in the apartment industry, Brian has played a pivotal role in planning, developing, and financing dozens of apartment communities throughout the Carolinas and the Southeast. As lead developer for Element Construction, Brian is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, site selection, financing, and other pre-construction activities for all the company’s projects.

CHAD PITTMAN
SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF CONSTRUCTION
Chad is the Senior Vice President of Construction for all markets. He is responsible for the design, estimating, construction, and turnover of all projects in the company portfolio. Chad joined the Element team at its inception with nearly 20 years of multifamily experience. Prior to joining Element, Chad served in various senior roles with firms in Texas, Georgia, and the Carolinas. Chad brings his experience in more than 6,000 apartment units across the southeast, as well as a bachelor's degree in business administration. He currently holds GC licenses in North Carolina and Georgia.

Matthew Rankin
OWNER | PRESIDENT & CEO OF CARLISLE RESIDENTIAL
Matthew began his career with Wachovia Bank in 1998 where he worked as a corporate banker in the Piedmont Triad region for 12 years before leaving as an SVP with Wells Fargo through a series of acquisitions and mergers. In 2010, he left banking and purchased a property management company which today manages over 6,000 apartment homes throughout North Carolina. Matthew has co-developed over 1,500 apartment units and assists in strategic planning and financing, while leading the property lease-up and property management activities.
